BOARD OF DIRECTORS

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS:

• Act in good faith, honestly, in the interests of the school’s parent body
• Seek representative feedback from parents, staff, and children
• Review and approve the budget
• Represent and present the school’s vision, mission, values, and goals to families and the community
• Seek to understand the school’s services, strengths and needs
• Oversee all fundraising, participate in the annual fund and capital campaigns: make a financial contribution to the extent of our capacity and solicit contributions
• Assist with recruitment of new board members
• Fulfill board responsibilities competently and responsibly
• Attend regularly key functions and scheduled board meetings for the term indicated in the by-laws
• Serve in a fiduciary capacity over all school affairs
• Review minutes and stay well informed regarding the school and its programs
• Participate in program oversight and the hiring and evaluation of the program directors
• Liaison with or serve on PTC, development committee or other such committees and groups
